“Radio” Music Review
Music Director: Himesh Reshammiya
Lyrics By: Subrat Sinha
Himesh does deserve the credit of giving us a lot of rocking numbers, but then somewhere his music became monotonous (remember that nasal high pitched singing all through). But having rested for a while, or may be having learned from all his debacles, his music is once again rocking in the movie Radio. The main track song “mann ka Radio”, isn’t quite like most of his earlier numbers, and best of all his peculiar nasal crooning is very slight. In fact we kind of like this title track, with its evocative rhythm and carefully chosen beats.
The next track is Zindagi Jaise Ek Radio, and well it doesn’t sound quite exciting even with the Punjabi touch. The lyrics are hilarious, the beats are fast paced but it’s still not appealing. It’s even been remixed, but that again is an effort in vain.
The ‘Jaaneman’, is quite a track to listen too. Its an absolutely melodious number that Shreya has sung with Himesh. The lyrics and the tune, both are soft, mushy and romantic. And in league with this song is ''Koi Na Koi Chahe'', which is again soft and melodious.
''Piya Jaise Ladoo '' is another rocking number in the film, its with a classical touch and is sure to leave you mesmerized. The song has even been remixed, but I think that remixing wasn’t really needed.
All the other numbers are equally good, so if you are planning to buy its music CD, we’ll say go ahead because it’s surely worth the money.

Dil Bole Hadippa a Preview
Dil Bole Hadippa starring Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee is to be released this Friday (18th Sep 09), and we thought of giving you a little sneak on what the movie is all about. Well the story line has nothing new, its all about a rebellious Rani Mukherjee, a small town girl, cross-dressing as a Sardar Ji to make a mark in the male dominated society. As for Rani’s get up as a sardar ji, I must say you need to be blind not to be able to figure out that it’s a girl behind the costume.

The whole cross dressing thing is about Rani wanting to play Cricket in Shahid Kapoor’s team, for which she wears a turban and puts on a beard (and wonder no body in the team could make out that she is a girl). And from here on the story turns romantic, just like any other Hindi movie. There isn’t much hope in terms of the story, but lets wait and watch whether the direction and screenplay can make it mint money at the box office.
Do have a look at Rani’s sardar ji makeover and let us know if she stands even close to a real Sardar Ji.

Anushka Sharma signed up for Patiala House
Remember the girl from ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, well yes we are talking about Anushka Sharma, who started off her career with this Yash Raj film. Ever since her debut performance she has gone missing, but she is soon to come back in Nikhil Advani’s upcoming film Patiala House. Anushka is all set to sizzle on the screen with the Hot dude Akshay Kumar, and maybe this new romantic venture may spike her filmy career.
And well that’s not the only movie she’s managed to grab, there is another one too in the pipeline. The name for this movie hasn’t been decided as yet, and all we know is that she is starring opposite Shahid Kapoor, in this Parmeet Sethi directed film.Anushka we wish you all the best for both of your movies.

Rani promoting 'Dil Bole Haddipa' at Toronto Film Festival
Rani Mukherjee’s and Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’, by Yash Raj Films had its red carpet event for its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, and who else but Rani Mukherjee herself was there to promote the film. The event started off on a real upbeat note with a Bhangra performance, creating an ideal setting for a movie with a Punjabi background.

Rani was seen in a splendid off shoulder purple gown with her hair left half loose. But we think she would have been better in some waist fitting gown, just to flaunt her newly achieved slim waist. After all she’s lost eight Kgs for this movie, and what occasion would have been more suitable than the world premiere of her latest film, to show off her newly defined silhouettes.

Priyanka Chopra's Yet Another Social Mission

Priyanka Chopra has been associated with many social associations, and recently she has come forward to support the “Save the Children” campaign which is working hard to provide education to about 8 million children. The targeted children are mostly from conflict affected areas, and the whole drive is about securing food, health care and shelter for these deprived children, besides protecting them from abuse, violence and exploitation.
Priyanka even expressed her desire to visit all the eleven centers where this organization is currently working, while speaking about her determination to create awareness about the importance of education in India.
Priyanka we’re happy that Bollywood stars like you have been participating actively in social causes, and all we’d like to say is keep up the good work.

Salman Khan at Mens Fashion Week

Salman Khan is undoubtedly the sexiest hunk of Bollywood, and he was quite a show stopper at the recently held finale of Men’s fashion week. He walked the ramp twice, once looking smashing in a black suit designed by Ashish Soni and the second time in a gray suit by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. We’ve got both the stunning pictures right here.
